Academic Trajectory
In March 1986, he entered the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad del Salvador intending to become a plastic surgeon, from where he graduated in October 1992.
For better training, he completed a general surgery residency at the Central Military Hospital, from which he graduated at the end of 1995. He is certified as a Specialist in General Surgery.
Between 1995 and 1996, he studied Lymphophlebology Specialist at Kennedy University. He completed his practical training at the Lymphophlebology Service of the Central Military Hospital under Dr. José Luis Ciucci (president of the Argentine Phlebology Society, period 2000-2001 ).
He took the exam to enter the Superior Course in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Buenos Aires, ranking third among 28 applicants and choosing for his training the Academic Unit of the Italian Hospital in charge of Dr. Luis Margaride, graduating in 1999 as a Specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with the highest score in his final exam (10 Ten).
He completed his teaching vocation working as an Assistant at the Physiology Department at the University of Salvador, Assistant at the Pharmacology Department of the UBA, Course Instructor, and Cranio-maxillofacial Workshop of AO and being appointed Head of Practical Work of the Pharmacology Department from the UBA.
During his training, he published works abroad and in national magazines as author and co-author, winning the Outstanding Free Works Award at the Argentine Congress of Plastic Surgery in 1997 as co-author and the Junior Award (the highest award for young plastic surgeons) at the Argentine Congress. of Plastic Surgery of 1998 as the author.
He graduated as a University Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in June 1999.
He was hired by the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service of the Italian Hospital and appointed Scholarship Instructor for 1999-2001.
During the 2001 period, he was named Major Concurrent of the National Academy of Medicine.
During the 2004-2005 period, he worked as Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Austral University Hospital.
He is KOL (Key opinion leader) for the companies Lutronic, Alma Lasers, and EndyMed, leaders in medical technologies.
He is a reviewer of scientific papers for the European Journal of Plastic Surgery, Medical Laser Journal, Journal of Advanced Plastic Surgery Research, and Reviewer of the Scientific Reports Editorial Springer Nature.

He has received recognition from his colleagues as a Specialist in Laser and Medical Technologies, being invited to speak at numerous congresses, symposiums, and update sessions, occupying the expert table.
To date, he has given more than 195 face-to-face conferences and webinars, and more than 50 moderations.
He has written 27 scientific papers and book chapters on the specialty published in Argentina and abroad.
Career Path
As of November 2002, he is appointed by the Lombardozzi company (responsible for the distribution and implementation of filler materials of Swedish and Russian origin) for the Direction of Courses and Workshops in the Application of Filler Materials Restylane, Perlane, Argiform, and Aquamid.
In March 2003 he was appointed by the Argentine Society of Plastic Surgery as Secretary of the Annual Update Course in Plastic Surgery.
In October 2003 he was appointed Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Austral University Hospital.
In March 2004 he was reelected as Secretary of the Annual Update Course in Plastic Surgery.
In April 2004, he was appointed Professor of the Dermatology Specialist Course, a position he held until 2007.
In May 2004, he was appointed Head of the Plastic Surgery Service of the OSUOMRA Central Polyclinic.
In January 2005 he was appointed as a Member of the Scientific Committee of the 2nd International Scientific Congress of Aesthetics.
In March of the same year, he was recertified as an Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon. A Recertification Committee awards this merit is made up of Illustrious Plastic Surgeons and endorsed by the Ministry of Health, the Argentine Medical Association, and the Argentine Society of Plastic Surgery. It is achieved through the rigorous evaluation of the surgical-scientific and care activity carried out by its tenured members in the last five years of practicing the specialty and guaranteeing that the recertified surgeon is in ideal updating and surgical conditions to continue his practice.
With the desire to be at the technological forefront, it acquired one of the first ten Pulsed Light equipment in the country, and since 1999 it obtained the Certification for the Use of Laser Technology. In January 2007, it acquired the first Nannolight equipment (2nd Generation Pulsed Light Equipment) to enter the country.
Since 2007 he has worked as a Trainer for new users in Nannolight Pulsed Light equipment for the company Sirex and trainer and director of permanent and temporary Facial Fillers for Lombardozzi company.
In 2010, it acquired the most powerful carbon dioxide laser equipment in Argentina: iPixel CO2 with 70 watts of power, thus improving its results of facial rejuvenation and treatment of acne sequelae.
In 2010, it acquired the leading nanosecond Q-Switched laser equipment, the Spectra, for removing tattoos and dark spots.
In 2011 he achieved the second Recertification as an Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon.
In 2012, he acquired one of the first two Nd:Yag Q Switched Spectra laser equipment to arrive in the country to perfect the removal of tattoos and spot treatments.
From 2012 to date, he has worked as a Trainer for new users of Nd:Yag Q Swichted Spectra laser equipment for the company ALER SM.
In 2013 he was a founding member and part of the Board of Directors of the first Argentine Society of Laser and Medical Technologies, SALTEM.
In 2015 he achieved membership as a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
In 2016, it acquired the Fox laser equipment, a 980 nm diode laser that improves the treatment of telangiectasias and vascular lesions of the face and legs and updates equipment that it already used for laser-assisted liposculpture.
In 2016 he achieved the 3rd Recertification as an Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon, being one of the few full members of the Argentine Society and of Buenos Aires of Plastic Surgery to obtain it.
In December 2016, he won the Honorable Mention of the Annual Prize of the Plastic Surgery Society with the work "New treatment for the permanent resolution of axillary hyperhidrosis: elimination of sweat glands by intradermal radiofrequency by microneedles."
In 2017, given the high demand from patients to improve the erasure of tattoos and the removal of stains, it acquired the most powerful, fastest, and versatile picosecond equipment in the world: the picoPlus.
He travels to train in Seoul, South Korea, at the Lutronic medical technology company and the medical centers of Dr. Goo and Dr. Lee, leaders in publications of procedures with medical technologies for aesthetic purposes.
In May 2017, he was invited to train at the Annual Allergan Meeting in Cancun. The training included updating filler treatments and products, botulinum toxin, and breast prostheses.
In May 2017 and within the 47th Argentine Congress of Plastic Surgery framework, he served as Secretary, Moderator, and Speaker of the Chapter of Mini Invasive Procedures.
In June 2017, it received the first Picoplus picosecond laser in Latin America: the most powerful and most versatile picosecond laser in the world to date.
In June 2017, he managed to reach the figure of 100 conferences given in congresses, symposiums, and medical conferences. He exceeded 9,000 patients attended and treated and achieved the figure of 4,500 subscribers to the Facebook page of the Dr. Pérez Rivera Surgery & Laser Center.

In April 2019, his work "Reduction of the abdominal perimeter transdermally using radiofrequency at 27.12 Mhz and 300 watts of power" was published in the Magazine of the Argentine Society of Phlebology and Lymphology - Year 45 - No. 1. April 2019.
He is part of the Steering Committee of the Plastic Surgery Society of Buenos Aires (SCPBA) as Deputy Director of Publications
In May 2019, two bills of its drafting entered the ticket table of the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation.
In the SACPER 2019 Plastic Surgery Update Course, he has been the moderator and coordinator of two Sessions on Mini Invasive Procedures and technologies applied to aesthetics.

For the 51st Argentine Congress of Plastic Surgery, he has been appointed Director of the Course, Director of the Workshop and Director of the Round Table on Lasers and Medical Technologies, in addition to being a moderator on these topics.
He continued to give lectures during 2020, reaching the figure of 150 lectures given in medical fields.

2022 was the best academic and professional year of his career.
He was appointed a member of the FILACP Biomaterials Chapter, director of the SACPER Medical Technologies Chapter and elected by vote of the members of the Buenos Aires Plastic Surgery Society as President-elect of the 21st Century Plastic Surgery Symposium 2024.
During the year 2022, he held 34 conferences, 15 workshops, 7 moderations, in 10 countries (Turkey, France, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina) and 13 cities (Istanbul, Paris, Puerto Vallarta, San José de Costa Rica, Lima, Cartagena, Medellín, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Iguazú, Puerto Vallarta) around the world and participated as an invited speaker in 10 congresses and symposia of the specialty.
